The historic inn on Stockbridge's Main Street, with 125 rooms split between the main inn and a group of village guest houses like Maple Glen and the Firehouse. The big front porch with rocking chairs is the main reason people come, and the kitchen was renovated in 2023.
I recommend it for first-timers, families and anyone who wants the Norman Rockwell version of New England with everything walkable. The trade-off: main-inn rooms are old-fashioned and some are small, so for more space and quiet I usually suggest one of the guest houses.
