The most polished stay in the Hudson Valley, with Auberge service and ridge views, priced like it.
You want the best service in the region and the budget isn't the deciding factor
You want a walkable town, or $1,000-plus a night feels hard to justify
Auberge's Hudson Valley resort is 65 freestanding cabins, cottages and suites spread across farmland right under the Shawangunk Ridge. It feels like a luxury farm stay: Clay cooks with produce from the property and nearby farms, and Thistle Spa and an indoor saltwater pool carry it through the colder months.
This is my first pick for honeymoons, anniversaries and anyone who wants top-tier service without going to Europe. The honest trade-off is price: it often tops $1,000 a night before tax, and in peak fall it books up months ahead.
