Riviera is one of Disney's newer resorts, designed to feel like the French and Italian Riviera with a more grown-up, elegant look than most Disney hotels. It is a Disney Vacation Club resort, but its rooms can be booked with cash like any other hotel.
The Skyliner station on site is the selling point, with a direct line to EPCOT's International Gateway and a transfer to Hollywood Studios. The trade-off is that Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom are bus rides, and the smallest Tower Studios are tight. It is a good fit for couples and smaller families who want quieter style over big theming.
