Disney's Hollywood Studios Travel Guide
Hollywood Studios is a smaller park packed with heavy hitters: Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, Toy Story Land, Tower of Terror and the new Muppets version of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. It's also the park where a bad plan costs you the most, because nearly every headliner gets long lines. Here's how I'd handle it.
Disney's Hollywood Studios
Where I'm sending people now
The Skyliner gondola runs from the Riviera, Caribbean Beach, Pop Century and Art of Animation. Boats and a walking path connect the BoardWalk, Yacht and Beach Club and Swan and Dolphin, and every other resort uses buses.
Arrive for Early Entry and go straight to Slinky Dog Dash or Rise of the Resistance, because lines here build faster than at any other park. On Jollywood Nights party dates the park closes early to day guests, so check the calendar before you pick your day.
A 1-day ticket starts around $139 before tax. Multi Pass runs about $20 to $39 per person, and Rise of the Resistance is a separate Single Pass ($20 to $25), so I budget for both here more often than not.
As of November 2026, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster is open with its new Muppets theme, and the Muppets area is closed for the Monstropolis build opening in phases from 2027. Jollywood Nights runs select evenings November 7 to January 5, and Vacation Fun is closed during the party season.

How do I ride Rise of the Resistance?
Ride it during Early Entry, during the last hour the park is open, or buy the Single Pass ($20 to $25 per person). It has a standby line now, but it breaks down a lot, so I usually tell clients to buy the Single Pass if it's a must.
Is the Muppets Rock 'n' Roller Coaster open?
Yes. It reopened in 2026 as Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets with the same ride and a new story and soundtrack. Height is still 48 inches.
What is Jollywood Nights?
It's a separately ticketed holiday party at Hollywood Studios on select nights from November 7, 2026 to January 5, 2027, priced around $169 to $199 per person. On party nights the park closes early to regular guests, so plan a full day here on a non-party date.
Can I do Hollywood Studios in half a day?
Not well. With Galaxy's Edge, Toy Story Land and Fantasmic, I recommend a full day, especially since this is the park where lines build the fastest.
What's closed at Hollywood Studios right now?
Muppet*Vision 3D and the surrounding area are gone for the new Monstropolis land, which opens in phases starting in 2027. Vacation Fun is closed during Jollywood Nights season.
