The Swan is a Marriott-run Westin across the lake from the BoardWalk. It is on Disney property but not Disney-owned, so you get Marriott service and Bonvoy points instead of Disney theming. It is the smaller, quieter half of the Swan and Dolphin pair, and its rooms were recently renovated.
I recommend it when someone wants the EPCOT-area location without Disney deluxe rates. You can walk to EPCOT's International Gateway, take a boat to Hollywood Studios and still get Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours. Keep in mind the daily resort fee and parking charges, and that buses to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom are run by the hotel.
