Mandarin Oriental took over a set of historic villas in a botanical park on the eastern shore, just north of Como town, and turned them into one of the lake's few true resorts. Rooms are spread across the villas, so it feels calm even when it's full.
The floating pool and the spa are the highlights. It's a good pick for couples and families who want a resort feel, and it's one of the easiest Lake Como hotels to reach from Milan.
