Relaxed South Pacific vibe, monorail access and the best castle fireworks views on property.

You want an easygoing, tropical resort with fast access to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.

The Polynesian is the resort a lot of families picture when they think of a Disney vacation: tiki torches, lush landscaping, a white sand beach and views across Seven Seas Lagoon to Cinderella Castle. It feels laid back in a way the Grand Floridian does not, and the newer Island Tower (Disney Vacation Club) has added a modern, higher-end option on the same grounds.

Location is the big win. You are on the monorail, there is a boat to Magic Kingdom, and you can walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center for the EPCOT monorail. The trade-off is that the original longhouses are spread out, so some rooms are a real walk from the Great Ceremonial House, and the resort has had ongoing exterior work in 2026.
