The Conrad is an all-suite hotel with 463 suites in Battery Park City, across West Street from the World Trade Center. Every suite has a separate living area, and Leonessa, the rooftop bar, looks out toward the Statue of Liberty.
I recommend it for families and longer stays, usually at about $400 to $700 a night, since the extra space and the Hudson River Park playgrounds make a real difference with kids. The trade-off is distance: plan on 20 to 30 minutes by subway to Broadway, and the neighborhood is quiet at night.
